Introducing Ben Colussy - Hey That Rhymes!
People like ‘Best of…’ lists, right? I do and I’m curious what your top three tv shows are for 2020?
Honestly, how much time do you spend searching for a new show to stream? It’s a daunting task to say the least. Today, I hope to help you all find the next great escape during this global pandemic. If these shows are not on your radar, I suggest you give them all a try. Here are my favorite tv shows for 2020:
- Schitt’s Creek (Netflix)
- Ted Lasso (Apple TV+)
- The Mandalorian (Disney+)
What do these preferences tell you about me? Here’s how I think these shows reflect who I am as a person.
- Family is a big part of my life
- I’m an eternal optimist
- I found a career that provides me with purpose
I’m a Colorado native and spent the winters skiing and summers playing baseball and soccer. My wife Deedee and I are the proud parents of 2 daughters, Lily and Lola, and we have a third child, a son, expected to be born this December. It takes a village to raise young people and I’m lucky to have my parents and other family members close by to help us out.
I’m an eternal optimist. I recently started writing in a gratitude journal where I list a few items every day that make me happy or thankful. It focuses my mind on what is positive, versus focusing on what could go wrong in life. It’s a great way to minimize fear and find the silver lining of most issues.
Administering pension plans is my passion. When I first started in the industry I kept thinking to myself, these pension plans are the secret to future financial success. These plans make a major and lasting impact on the quality of life for our members and their families. Everything I was learning I could also apply towards my own personal retirement planning strategy. I was hooked.
I first started attending NPEA conferences in 2013, and I immediately felt at home. I’ll never forget how welcoming the people were when I attended my first NPEA reception. Something just clicked. Fast forward seven years and today I find myself humbled and excited by the opportunity to serve on the NPEA Board of Directors.
I found my purpose and I’m excited to share what I know. However, I am most excited to learn from my peers within the industry and using the NPEA platform. If you want to read more about my work history, my bio will be updated on the NPEA website by the end of the year. I hope to be a resource for you and if you would like to reach out to me I’m just a quick email or phone call away.
